We are Giving Away a Wedding
And now We need your Help to vote!
We received over 60 applications from Pennsylvania couples who have been impacted by this last year in some way. Couples were asked how they met, how this past year has impacted them, and what their dream wedding looks like. We had a panel of 8 people review each application and vote. Votes were cast based on how each panelist was moved by a couple’s story.
Below you will read a blurb or highlight from each couple who has made it to the next round. This round we are asking YOU to help us. Let us know what couples you think deserve to move onto the final round by casting your vote.
Laura & Joseph
What drew us to Laura & Joseph: Joseph’s mad crush on Laura, “She makes me laugh like a psychopath. She has the biggest most caring heart and will do anything for anyone. She is truly a saint.”
Melissa & Adam
What drew us to Melissa & Adam: Despite their wedding being cancelled they are not letting it get them down. Melissa works in a retirement community putting in long hours these days while Adam who is self-employed has had some obvious job adjustments in this current economy.
Brooke & Logan
What drew us to Brooke & Logan: It might have taken them some time to finally “get together” but now that they are, there is no going back! Instead of being upset that they won’t be able to have the huge wedding they might’ve originally dreamed of they are embracing it and the closeness they get to experience with friends and family. Heart eyes over Logan’s response as to what he’s most looking forward to in getting married… “I can always be myself when I'm with her. She’s my best friend. Who wouldn’t want to have a slumber party with their best friend every night for the rest of their life?!”
Melyssa & Michael
What drew us to Melyssa & Michael: Michael’s job has been affected by this past year affecting their wedding plans an causing them to push their plans out another year. When they met, they didn’t expect a relationship, and now they’re just excited to get married!
Audrey & Thomas
What drew us to Audrey & Thomas: “You know when you grow up and think your parents are soulmates. Well our kids are going to be right about that.” After being furloughed from her job, Audrey & Thomas have been focused on saving so they can finally get married!
Francesca & Bryant
What drew us to Francesca & Bryant: After getting laid off & having their hours reduced, Bryant a chef & Francesca a LPN are now focused more on paying bills versus saving for a wedding. Their dream wedding would end with everyone outside lying on blankets and looking at the stars.
Desiree & Devan
What drew us to Desiree & Devan: While 2020 resulted in them receiving the amazing gift of a baby girl, it was something they were told would never happen. A new baby plus reduced income has caused this couple to have to put their wedding plans on hold and they are looking forward more than anything to all 3 of them sharing the same last name!
Tarissa & Christopher
What drew us to Tarissa & Christopher: While she swears she has no idea their first date was actually a date they are both now looking forward to seeing each other at the aisle on their wedding day. They were getting ready to put a deposit down on a wedding venue when restrictions began to increase. Now they’re simply hoping to be surrounded by their closest friends & family on their wedding day.
Maddie & Alex
What drew us to Maddie & Alex: “Life is easier when you have a partner by your side. someone to be there for you and push you when you need it.” During this last year Maddie has been attempting to finalize her schooling to become an RN and the company that Alex was working for shut down. They are excited to start a life together with their doggie baby.
Maddi & Mike
What drew us to Maddi & Mike: Engaged for two years, they put their wedding on hold this past year to prioritize growing their family due to medical reasons. Now, along with their one month old daughter, they’re excited to get married! Maddi loves that Mike is as excited about wedding planning as she is!
Miranda & Marc
What drew us to Miranda & Marc: She’s a teacher working hard to cover all the bases with the new reality of in-person and virtual learning and on top of that working to get her Master’s in Education. He works at a senior living facility where he has worked hours above and beyond to keep the residents “happy & healthy” even going so far as to step in to help cook when need be. And while they met over a bag of Cheetos they are excited about having a day to celebrate their commitment to one another!
Samantha & Oliver
What drew us to Samantha & Oliver: Both from Pennsylvania, it took them both being in Austin, TX at the same time to find one another. Laid-off from her job and then moving to only a part-time position has affected the couple and their wedding plans. Adventurous souls they both push one another to be the best version of themselves!

Enjoy the day of your dreams, Stress Free
This past year has been rough for a lot of Pennsylvania couples. We have seen so many that have had to cancel or reschedule their big day due to state restrictions, financial distress… the list goes on. As a place that loves to host weddings and see people on one of the happiest days of their lives, we were frankly getting pretty bummed out! So we put our heads together to find out a way to change that … we’re giving away a wedding!
We’ve partnered with some great local vendors to give.away.a.wedding! We are taking the stress away from planning a wedding, and providing you the venue, food, beverage, flowers, hair & makeup from Salon Magnolias, photography from Emily Kane Photography, and music from Mint DJs. We’re not joking!
